Teaching Staff Frank Claudy
Frank Claudy (on right) with assistant teacher Elliott Grasso began serious study of Irish music as a young adult in the early seventies. He began as a whistle player, but after a few years moved on to his father’s wooden flute. Later he acquired the Rudall Rose Patenthead he has played for the last 22 years. Frank has played with a number of bands including Baltimore’s The Wild Geese and was also a member of the Baltimore Ceili Band. He has taught at a number of festivals and was a faculty member at the Irish Week by the Sea in Nova Scotia. |
